Does Linux have any supporting software for power management? Or is this purely a BIOS function? My motherboard manual (Tyan) says under DPMS support: Select this option if your monitor supports the Display Power Management Signalling (DPMS) standard of the Video Electronics Standards Association. Use the software supplied for your video subsystem to select video power management values. I would have thought it's purely a BIOS function except for that last sentence.
