H ow new is the ich4 version? And, if you want usb 2.0 support I'd go for 8.1. I have a Gigabyte 7vrxp motherboard with a promise ide/raid 133 chipset onboard. 8.0/2.4.18 doesn;t supporr it, but 8.1/2.4.19 will. I don't know about ich4 technology or if it's supported in 8.0, but if you want usb 2.0 then 8.0 won't support it - like said the change log for 2.4.19 shows it wil support usb 2.0.
