My setup is V5.2, and everything has installed OK, except the 3Com 3C509 card. The system has failed to pick it up. I recently spotted the suggestion of performing a direct scan using modprobe:
modprobe 3c509 io=0x300,irq=10
The resulting message was:
/lib/modules/2.0.33/net/3c509.o: symbol for parameter io not found
This error message also appears on the bootup screen, and has appeared consistently from the initial install.
find out if the modules rpm is installed or not by: rpm -qa | less and look for the string modules. Most likely you are missing this rpm in your installation. Install the modules rpm from the distribution CD (i think it is cd1), although it should have been installed.
