Sorry folks, I know this isn't the absolute best place to ask; but has anyone else seen hide nor hair of any X modules covering the Radeon 9700? Having finally splashed out on a big graphics card, I've been combing Usenet archives and the 'web for any signs of when Radeon 9700 drivers will make it into XFree86-CVS (or when 4.3 might be out); and I can't find anything particularly promising in http://cvsweb.xfree86.org/cvsweb/xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/drivers/ati/ I've currently got X working (via fbdev! - 1024x768 and no anti-aliasing! - it's a real blast from the past) - and it still runs gears 3 times as fast as my old Voodoo3, but it's kind of distressing to see such a mighty graphics card puttering along; and I was wondering if anyone had heard any rumours on the bush telegraph as to upcoming drivers. cheers, Gideon.
