Does anyone know of a Linux video player that will play .wmv format??
Both xine and mplayer will do it. Get either or both from http://packman.links2linux.org, and perhaps a nice frontend like Kaffeine Don't forget to get all the packages listed as "required", especially the w32codecs package. That's the one that lets them play wmv files/streams
Sorry to hijack the thread, but how do I go about configuring Mozilla/Mplayer so that I can play .wmv files/streams in Mozilla via Mplayer?
I have the MIMEtypes assigned in KDE and they work on the desktop, but how can I get them to work in the browser?
Tried Plugger - that didn't do it.
Where can I get Mplayer???? The one I downloaded before wouldn't install. Tom
