More of a pity, apparently only one person recognized/had the problem and responded. Does 'obscure problem' come to mind rather than '10.1 terminally ill' being true? Or were you *just* referring to your particular installation problem?
I think everyone is too busy slaughtering each other to have noticed although perhaps the subject line was poor and at the time I'd not done enough research to work out that my first reaction that it was 2 or 3 problems was in fact all the same and related to X I'm surprised I didn't get a "Google it you lazy so and so" I mean god forbid you'd ask for help here ;-)
Good that you have achieved a working model of the best distro available at an affordable price. And you didn't even have to report to m$ the regestration and ask for verification that your install was ?legal?.
I really don't want to get involved in the 'Great Debate' what I will say is if things carry on the way they have over the last couple of weeks all MS has to do is sit back and watch, then pick over the carcass of whats left. I'm no expert, I don't know the GPL inside out, I'm not fussed about codecs etc I do like Suse and have been a registered user since version 8 but what I've seen on this list over the last few weeks is appalling and people should be ashamed of themselves wheres the 'user solidarity'? The in-fighting is allowing outrageous approaches even if they are wrapped up sugary sweet platitudes and the only reason its happening is because everyone is too busy fighting each other to notice the 'flanking attack'. Crap I just got involved, ignore everything I just said. -- Regards Peter Cannon "There is every excuse for not knowing there is no excuse for not asking" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
