Once at that page, I go down the list and see if the "file" or "library" I want is there. If not I guesss again. if it is, then I can search for that "rpm" on the SuSE ftp sie, as "rpmfind.creatis.insa-lyon.fr" only has the base packages, and security patches, and not the "bleeding edge" stuff. If that fails, then I do a google searches. See also "man rpm", specifically: rpm -q --whatprovides "xyz" Hopefully somebody will have a better way, but this has worked for me when all else has failed.
