Folder view Folder View is for the most part working on my 42.2 box without the icons changing positions on a reboot or restart of Plasma, but it does happen from time to time. I don't recall it happening lately, though. One complaint I have is that the spacing between the icons is way too large, the grid, that is, and I want to set it so the icons reside close together. But that is currently impossible. You used to also be able to (in KDE 4.x) start typing the name of a folder or file on your desktop, and as soon as there was a match it would highlight it and all you had to do was press enter to open it.
Folder View is a work in progress, and I have asked about it before. KDE devs don't appear very interested in fixing Folder View right now as well as bringing it to feature-parity with KDE 4.x as they have other priorities. If and when it gets fixed is my best guess. It comes down to manpower and the fact that Folder View is not a default option. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
