Just in case someone didn't know about X geometry: /usr/X11R6/lib/xscreensaver/kaleidescope -geometry 1600x1200 This is a geometry I use to launch xterm: - -geometry 80x120+400+600 Note that xterm interprets this differently than the screensaver programs. They seem to be thinking in terms of pixels, whereas xterm thinks in characters. The WxH determines the size of the window, an the W+H determines the location.
