Try setting up a network installation source - much more reliable with Xen in my experience. Are you trying to install a paravirtualised instance of openSUSE 10.3? Related to this are you trying to use a CD or DVD? If CD, does it actually contain the Xen kernel and initrd from which to start the installation?
