Should I worry about this? Is my brand new 80gb disk going bad?
Do you also get messages about lost interrupts? I get similar sorts of errors, including dma_timer_expiry, channel reset, and lost interrupt on my realtively new drives. Normal testing of the drives suggests they are OK. I've done a lot of Googling and found lots of similar complaints, but no clear solution. I have come to the conclusion that it's probably a kernel/driver issue, though it's not clear if anyone is fixing/has fixed it. - Richard. -- Richard Kimber http://www.psr.keele.ac.uk/
