Is there a Linux program around, preferably part of the SuSE distribution, for testing all the keys on my keyboard? I washed one of my keyboards and it had stuck keys for a while. I want to be sure that they're all gone.
And an aside: what are folks' favorite ways of cleaning keyboards?
I favor air cans and if its really bad I pull the keys keeping them in order and use simple green on a qtip to clean the open space, then scrub the keys on a green scratcher.
I do the same, except for the part about keeping them in order. It's so much fun to put the keys back randomly :-)
Well the old KB was acting up so I cleaned out the cat dander but today I got a KB not found error in bios. Reboot made it work but the numeric key pad had failed keys which ar part of the passwords on this box. Then trying to shut down stopped working so it was power switch time. Luckily I have a spare travel KB not as nice as the ten year old micro innovations I have had since my 486 gave way to my first pentium I 233. So it had a good life and Ill get another like it and this time use saran wrap to keep the cat hair out. I am neither old enough or gray enough to sheed as much as my seven year old 25lb cat Brian. -- _______ _______ _______ __ / ____\ \ / / ____|_ _\ \ / / | | \ \ /\ / / (___ | | \ \ / / | | \ \/ \/ / \___ \ | | \ \/ / | |____ \ /\ / ____) |_| |_ \ / \_____| \/ \/ |_____/|_____| \/ | \ /|\ || |\ / |~~\ /~~\ /~~| //~~\ | \ / | \ || | X |__/| || |( `--. |__ | | \| \_/ / \ | \ \__/ \__| \\__/
