But systemd doesn't read and act on /etc/fstab.
In fact I think it does: man systemd.automount
The relevant text here is:
FSTAB Automount units may either be configured via unit files, or via /etc/fstab (see fstab(5) for details).
For details how systemd parses /etc/fstab see systemd.mount(5).
I want it to re-read this file after I have edited it. As Per said, I will know it worked when I access the file system and trigger the automount.
FWIW, this worked for me in my test setup. Ignore my report about having to reboot. amend fstab systemctl daemon-reload systemctl --all | grep mount ls -l /mtpoint -- Per Jessen, Zürich (21.2°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - dedicated server rental in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
