Reorganising network/Samba

Hi, I think of reorganising my network. Now I'm using 3 WinNT servers, of which one is PDC. I would like to replace this PDC (does nothing more than file- & printsharing, although it is a DNS- and DHCP-server) with a SuSE-box. Unfortunately I can't replace the other WinNT-boxes. Is there an easy way to transfer all users/passwords from WinNT to Linux ? I know of winbind, but I never got it running properly on Samba 2.2.2. Is there an idial route to go (first do this, than do that, ...) ? I think of replacing the other boxes also (hardware, not software), so reinstalling WinNT is a possibility.
