I notice SuSE 7.0 ships with perl-5.005_03.
Is anyone running perl-5.60 or later?
Any reason not to?
What's the approved way to upgrade?
I compiled my own Perl-5.6 into /opt and use it with my own scripts on 6.4. I have yet to find anything which breaks. Word from SuSE (on this list IIRC) was that some of their config scripts do actually break with Perl-5.6 so it's better not to replace it system wide.
