Hi This is my first time posting to a mailing list, so please let me know if I make some noob mistake. I have a laptop with openSUSE 12.2 x64 installed, updated with zypper up. It's a plain install except that I am using KDE 4.9 from the KDE:/Release:/49/openSUSE_12.2/ repository. My problem is that on the ttys (like the ctrl+f1 console aka /dev/tty1) I am getting firewall logging printed. For example: [391390.682906] SFW2-INext-DROP-DEFLT IN=wlan0 OUT= MAC= SRC=fe80:0000:0000:0000:ee55:f9ff:feb7:d98c DST=ff02:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:00fb LEN=84 TC=0 HOPLIMIT=255 FLOWLBL=0 PROTO=UDP SPT=5353 DPT=5353 LEN=44 These messages show up "randomly" and are really disruptive. Note that the messages do not show up in Konsole under KDE, just under the ctrl+f1, ctrl+f2 etc. ttys. I don't even have to log in on the tty for them to show up. The messages themselves are fine AFAIK (they mostly relate to some multicast DNS with a few stray IPv4 ones from China once in a while), but I wish for them to remain where they belong (i.e., /var/log/firewall) and not "in my face" so to speak. I also have a desktop computer with essentially the same configuration (openSUSE 12.2 x64 with KDE 4.9) and I'm not seeing the same behaviour there, so I'm rather confused as to what's different on my laptop that can cause this.
