First at all thanks for your responses. "GAUNT Dr N, Cons Microbiologist PHLS" wrote:
I have used iCBS2 successfully on SuSE 7.0. Just install the rpm and load the module. Some progs need SCO specific libraries, so access to a SCO system that can run your application is advisable.
I have had one minor problem with iCBS - a data server we use (Sculptor kfserver) would not spawn multiple processes under iBCS. Don't know why!

Have you run the sco foxplus using iBCS? If afirmative, witch version? I think I've read something about locks and multiple processes under iBCS these days, I'll take a look. At 10:30 PM 1/24/2001 -0600, Jerry Kreps wrote:

SuSE used to have FlagShip on their CDs. (Now?) http://www.fship.com/demo_linux7.html FlagShip apparently has a Visual version coming soon. JLK
I know about the FlagShip package on SuSE (there is a functional evaluation version and the comercial one) but I don't have the sources (.prg), just have the .fox files(I think is pseudocode interpreted by foxrun). I think I'll try to exec the application under windows or dos using FoxPro or Clipper or something like that. Do you know if the sco fox files are compatible with windows FoxPro? (remember I don't have the sources and I can't recompile the .prg files) If this works I can execute the application under DOSEMU without any problem, but I doubt. Samy Elashmawy wrote:
That wont work , unless he has the source code to it , so he need a way to tun the binaries.
I think you're right but I'd like to solve the problem :-) Following with my problem, if I exec the 'file' command on: foxplus.pr, foxpcomp.pr, ... I get the following " Microsoft a.out separate pure segmented word-swapped V2.3 V3.0 386 small model executable" and on the install program i get " Microsoft a.out separate pure segmented fixed-stack word-swapped pre-SysV V3.0 286 small model executable". Do you think iBCS can run this files? Please, If you are running SCO apps can you exec 'file' and tell me the results? Thanks
