Hi, I have VMware-Player-12.5.9-7535481.x86_64.bundle. I can not run a more recent version because it rejects my CPU. As is, the package fails to run and has to be patched, following the instructions here: <https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1715552/comments/26> First step is "run" the bundle to install it. Then download and expand the patch: wget https://github.com/mkubecek/vmware-host-modules/archive/player-12.5.9.tar.gz tar -xzf player-12.5.9.tar.gz cd vmware-host-modules-player-12.5.9/ Elesar:~/vmware/vmware-host-modules-player-12.5.9 # make make -C vmmon-only make[1]: Entering directory '/root/vmware/vmware-host-modules-player-12.5.9/vmmon-only' Using kernel build system. make -C /lib/modules/4.12.14-lp151.24-default/build/include/..
