I just re-isntalled OpenSuse 10.3 and I set my NIC up w/ a static IP, liek before. But now it takes several seconds to find the webpage or ping a host. It does eventually work, howerver, it takes longer than ever before. I have my ISP's nameservers and use 192.168.1.1 (router) as a gate way. Same exact set up as before.
my ifcfg-eth0:
NETMASK='255.255.255.0' BOOTPROTO='static' BROADCAST='' ETHTOOL_OPTIONS='' IPADDR='192.168.1.3/24' MTU='' NAME='Giga-byte MCP61 Ethernet' NETWORK='' REMOTE_IPADDR='' STARTMODE='auto' USERCONTROL='no' GATEWAY='192.168.1.1'
Do you have ipv6 installed and running? If so try to turn that off. -- ----------JSA--------- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
