Hi, I have a couple of different Logitech wireless mice. One is overtly an MX1000 that I've had for several years (and by far best mouse I've ever used). The other is a new LX7. I was somewhat surprised that on both of the systems to which these mice are attached, the KDE (3.5) Control Center's Peripherals -> Mouse configuration panel includes a tab labelled "MX1000 Laser Mouse." This tab contains controls for specifying the native resolution (400 or 800 CPI) and for selecting which of two RF channels to use along with a battery-level indicator. (I was, apparently, lucky enough not to have them interfere when I added the second mouse yesterday.) Now here's thing: On both my old SuSE Linux 10.0 installation (now retired) as well as my new openSUSE 11.1 installation, this tab in the Mouse control panel is entirely disabled and includes this message: "You have a Logitech Mouse connected, and libusb was found at compile time, but it was not possible to access this mouse. This is probably caused by a permissions problem - you should consult the manual on how to fix this." I'm consulting this forum instead... Does anyone know how to enable the Logitech mouse controls in the KDE 3.5 Mouse Control Center panel?
