The following 17 packages are going to be REMOVED: amarok amarok-lang kdebase4-workspace-branding-openSUSE ksplash-qml-branding-openSUSE ksplashx-branding-openSUSE kwin libloudmouth-1-0 libply-splash-core2 libply-splash-graphics2 plymouth plymouth-branding-openSUSE plymouth-dracut plymouth-plugin-script plymouth-scripts splashy splashy-branding-openSUSE splashy-mkinitrd
Please note the dependencies: amarok amarok-lang kwin libloudmouth-1-0
Well, that's what I meant, there are dependencies. To disable the booting splash, you only need to remove plymouth; the rest can not work with it missing, and they fulfil the dependencies. The list of "splash" packages above includes other splash things, that run on other occasions, I do not know which. So I will not try to remove them till knowing what they are. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)
