Zero empty space on partition ???

Could someone please remind me. Im old and brain dead. There is a command to Zero the empty space on a hard disk into a file and I just forgot it. You set the file size to be bigger then the empty space and it creates a file that is all the empty space zeroed and then you delete the file. Could some kind person please remind me of the command?
