If you use the original username, it will prompt to ask you weather to import this user. It's not import anyway. The system creats a new user with a username and need a home folder(defaluts to username), if this already exists, you can use that one. You can always do this even after installation. Don't konw yast can handle this or do some chmod, chown as root. If you mean importing user settings from other OSs(like Ubuntu), don't know if OpenSUSE has this feature.
