For some unknown reason, when I try to connect to at least one particular ipaddr, the os tries to arp 172.16.1.2. I have no idea where it's getting this addr.
That's a local subnet.

I'll look into the factory list, thanks. I found the issue. For whatever reason why it doesn't happen on 11.4, an incoming ICMP Redirect message is coming from the gateway to direct all traffic to a new gateway.
