I need to increase the text size of the install screens on a fresh Leap 15 install. Laptop is a new HP Spectre 360 which I bought for my partner. The installation screens have extremely small text because of the very high monitor resolution. I've searched Google high and low (OS forums, documentation, etc.,etc) and can't find the answer. Various opensuse documentation say to hit F3 or other Function keys at the Grub2 boot screen before the installation starts, but that produces absolutely no effect. I ran a Leap 15 KDE live USB and pretty much everything works nicely and I can adjust the screen text size on the desktop. Since I have serious vision problems, having very small text size on the installation screens is a very big problem for me. Any help is appreciated, Gustav @OP: try to add video=####x#### replace the #s with the resolution of the screen
I tried both video=1024x768 and video=800x600 but the install screens don't change. After aborting from the install screens, the text mode graphic screens come up, and those are affected by changing the boot video parameters. Adding the different video modes changes increases the text on those screens only. Any other ideas? Gustav
