Is there anyway that I can delete my windows partition as I have not booted into it for a long time and use it for /usr as it is 17gb in size or would I be better to use it for /home
I'd be more likely to use it for /home to make sure your personal settings and data are easy to preserve across updates and/or system failures. As to deleting the windows partition and re-using it: -unmount it -remove the entry from /etc/fstab -format it -make a new entry in fstab -mount it the only complication is that if you are going to use it for /home or /usr you will need to mount it elsewhere then copy the contents of the old directory to the new partition before mounting the new one over the original mountpoint. After a few days of use you can temporarily unmount it and delete the contents of the old directory. Dylan
