If you have an AMD processor, your kernel package is called k_athlon, not k_deflt. If you can find a ltmodem package for that kernel, try it instead. Otherwise you can try to force your way through it, but I wouldn't recommend that as a first try, so I'll give the detail only if you can't do any other way. Let us know how it's going.
Thanks, but according to the manufacturer's spec, the processor is Intel
OK. I had a look at your previous message. Why are they commas (2,4,20-4GB) for the kernel version number? Is it a typo from you when you copied the error message, or was it already in the error message? Commas inside version numbers are not allowed (it must be dots), so it may be the cause of your problem... - -- Thibaut Cousin Web : http://www.thibaut-cousin.net -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/WFF9fBjEv/Ah2egRApixAJwI2zqK3WcJY1dvB+zPeSOt2IwvZACfaQbE IvHNNwxTDH0/XaRJPMPsAbQ= =6vfn -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
