Hi! For some strange reason, smbmount always say 'invalid argument' when I specify something that would equal a valid mount-line, like: mbmount //PETERPC/C /net/peterpc/c -n -I 123.123.123.124 -c MARTINPC I know 123.123 is not really smart, but hey: That was before I found the english postscript version of the SuSE manual on your FTP site. For some reason, it didn't seem to be on the InfoMagic CD's... The above smbmount (though the other way around) -used- to work from my fathers machine (MARTINPC <-> PETERPC and IP -1) but it doesn't seem to get through anymore. It doesn't say 'invalid argument', however. My fathers machine currently has RedHat 5.0 on it with 2.0.31 kernel. I have SuSE 5.1 with 2.1.85 kernel with smbfs compiled into the kernel, so I'm rather baffled at this. Is it smbmount that is defective? -- --- e-mail: martin_moeller@technologist.com - an iName service for life(?)
