I have just installed 11.1 and everything went smothly (well, after several retries).
However after updating and installing several more progs the login with kdm doesn't work. If I do an init 3 and start gdm it works fine. At the moment I have my main user autlogin so the problem isn't urgent.
But what I need is info on how to switch from kdm to gdm as the login manager.

In /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager change DISPLAYMANAGER="kdm" to DISPLAYMANAGER="gdm" That should do the trick. Why would KDE not work for you? Boris. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
