StarOffice 5.2 is a good choice. It is very tightly integrated between wp, db, mail, news, browsing, but I don't remember an organizer amoung its options. KOffice (KWord, KOrganizer, KMail, KNews,KSpread, Konqueror and KIllustrator) is begining to look very good. Try the newly released (yesterday!) 2.1beta1 version. And say good by to the virii. Hi All,
My name is Shane Broomhall, I work with windows software on a daily basis, I am in the process of learning Linux and I have installed SUSE 7 on my IBM laptop, as a Dual boot machine.
I am still at a basic stage and learning how to use the system, that is why I am still doing all my work under Win 98. I am hoping to find programs that can perform the same jobs as :
Microsoft Outlook with regard to handling Email and automatically placing it into folders using rules or similar & Lotus Organiser for booking appointments.
I am planning on dual booting until I am comfortable enough to handle problems that may occur and getting my Winmodem to work if possible.
I am planning to use Star Office as my office suite to replace Office 2000. I would appreciate any comments from anyone on applications I can use to replace Outlook and Organiser with similar functionality.
Thanks in advance.
