First, have you tried using the neat little kernel compilation app provided by SuSE? This seemed to take care of everything (including LILO stuff). But, I did have the exact same problem you had when I was doing it at first manually. I take it that it happens when you do a "make zImage"? I think the fix was to do a "make bzImage" (spelling?). As is obvious, I don't remeber the details, but I am sure someone here will. All I know is that using the app provided by SuSE makes this very easy!! chris - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
