Can cdparanoia work with ide-scsi?
Yes.
How? I get something like: /dev/sr0 is not a cooked ioctl CDROM. For what it's worth, I installed SuSE with an old CD-RW drive in my machine, and SuSE set it up automatically. I just replaced the drive and put it on the same cable on hdc. This should work, shouln't it? What's weird is that if I boot without ide-scsi, I get the same problem with cdparanoia. In both cases I can mount and use data CDs. I haven't tried KDE's audiocd slave, will do when I get home, but doesn't that use cdparanoia anyway?
