hi sean, believe me, i have seen & tested this about 3-4 years ago on a windows nt machine for running SoftImage after our dongle was ruined by a "just-go-up-in-flames" printer connected after it. it is far away from uncrackable........ (of course we used the original dongle later on, after getting the replacement dongle....) so even this system has its weaknes....... from what i have seen it workl like "emulating" the license manager and always put out "licensed" for a specific product (in this case SI and all of its additions [renderer etc]) just search on astalavista for softimage, im pretty sure it can still be found there (thats the place where i found it years ago......) greets, chris Am Samstag, 2. I'm not aware of any cracks for software using the FlexLM license manager (e.g. Rational Rose and the like). If Flex can produce uncrackable stuff then perhaps Microsoft can as well. Mind you, perhaps the desire to crack Windows XP will be greater than the desire to crack stuff like Rational Rose so perhaps it is not invulnerable.
Sean.
