Hi, My YAST software manager is not responding and hence I was advised to install smart package manager. I am running SUSE 10.1 KDE on a R52 IBM Thinkpad Initially there were 11 packages that were to be installed. 7 were installed and 4 remain. I have even refreshed the source.. but nothing happends Please guide.. Below is what I get in Konsole
[pruned] Go to- http://labix.org/smart and download the 4 smart packages for SUSE 10.1, by Pascal Bleser, for your CPU (32- or 64-bit). You don't need the one with "debug" in its name. UNISTALL the smart package which came with 10.1 - if you had installed it. INSTALL the package python-elementtree (use YOU to do this from the 10.1 DVD/CDs). Then install the 4 packages by Pascal. The latest packages are 0.42.9 BTW with rpm -ivh *.rpm They need to be installed as a group of 4 so when you download the 4 packages put them into a directory on their own. Run the smart package manager and activate the pre-configured channels by selecting the ones which don't have a cross against them. Then let smart do its job. Cheers. -- This computer is environment-friendly and is running on OpenSuSE 10.1
