Hi,
don't know about any websites, sorry. But basically this can be done
only if your /boot is in a primary partition, otherwise it will not
work. When yast2 is about to install lilo, just select /boot as the
target and we don't need to care for the rest, because the effect is
the same as if lilo is installed on MBR. It's just convinient (and
safer) to have 2 boot loader (plus boot disk for each OS), in case
something happen.
To view which actived partition, in linux, use "fdisk /dev/hd?",
then "p". The actived partition is displayed with "*" mark. Under Win9x
or ME, also use fdisk. But under XP, use "diskpart". Please remember do
not use partition magic to select active partition, because pqmagic
will hide the unactived primary partition. This causes Windows could
not boot (if the hidden partition is Win) or in case of linux, it will
mount / will be in "ro" mode.
One final remainder, if you've ever "shifted" or "moved" your primary
partition (wnidows) **before** you install Linux, pay attention to the
order/naming of each partition. It will cause a little problem when you
use fdisk or diskpart to change active partition for the first time.

Hi,
Hi, it's subjective, but I prefer to install LILO not at MBR. Just set /boot as active partition (fdisk). So if you have Win on the other partition, you can just switch between LILO and NTLoader at any time.
Can you point me to a web site that details these steps?
