No, I'm trying to install from a HD partition (windows). You may be right about a flawed partition setup...any suggestions? It looks like Yast tries to mount the source partition again after it mounts it the first time when I indicate the installation source medium on the beginning of the process... Hi Verdi.
I honestly don't believe it is the partitioning, I have a hd configuration different from yours but the error is "exactly" the same. I do believe it is a YAst2 problem, that doesn't allow changing the source medium from CD to hd or other...I'm frustrated about it as well, but so far no light in the end of the tunnel yet.
I agree that somewhere there's a bug in YaST that in my case showed up when I tried to install packages _after_ the installation from HD (I solved that problem). But it could be that a flawed partition setup was the cause of the mount error. Is installation from ftp an option for both of you?
