-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 First off, thanks everyone for your responses, I got StarOffice3.1 from a CD Distribution which came with a magazine. The distr. is RH 5.0 based, and it included various files for StarO 3.1 (tar.gz'ed) and an install script. Now, I ran the script (instalar) and I got StarO (installed?) on /opt/StarOffice-3.1. It also gave me a list of commands (scal3, schart3, sdraw3, simage3, smath3, swriter3) and a warn: To execute, type from an xterm. Tried to run swriter3 from the prompt... but didn't work. Then tried to run a setup command within the above mentioned path and got this: StarOffice3.1 Installation Tool - -X11TransSocket UNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 111 could not open display Then tried opening the x-windows, and found the prog there... but couldn't execute it: The StarOffice3.1 script /root/.sd.sh is missing. Normally this means that StarOffice is not installed or configured for this user. Check this fact please. I'm aborting now. Ok, I've seen a "sd.sh" (and another *.bsh, or so) file within /opt/StarOffice-3.1 what's the ".sd.sh" (notice the starting dot ".") about? is it a link or s'thing? how am I supposed to install a program which doesn't come with the distribution? Thanks in advance, Horacio. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 5.5.5 Comment: Key IDs: DH/DSS 0x614DB9FA RSA 0x160B1B5B iQA/AwUBNWGeFnR1WuG6Ow0hEQJZIgCcDitDtUZH8ssZLy7nzo8OCbZrDwUAn0W4 vtTxXAxOlXX4LlqwYFS5seOO =XjHq -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
