Hi Jim, -----Original Message----- From: James (Jim) Hatridge [SMTP:hatridge@straubing.baynet.de] Sent: Saturday, May 13, 2000 2:42 PM
I was given three Pentium MoBs the other day. <G> Two are great... but the third I'm having a small problem. It does not have a CPU. The markings say that I can put a 50, 66, or 75 mhz CPU on it. But I have only a 133 mhz CPU. My question is can I run this CPU on this MoB? Also if so, which setting should I use, ie 50, 66, or 75?
Is the MB a socket 5 or socket 7. I had an old P66(?) with a socket 5 and a newer pentium chip wouldn't fit the older socket. (It was a while ago and it may have been a 486/66, can anyone confirm this?)
