All,
Factory announced 15.4 is no Gold Master. So will my next zypper dup be the last zypper dup for 15.4, and then zypper up after that?
Or is there some other milestone I should look for to know when to switch from zypper dup to zypper up?
"now Gold Master"... 'w' key getting old...
It's good, then, that I didn't reply to your first message. I would have been "wtf are you talking about??" :) General Availability release is scheduled for 1200 UTC on June 8. So yes, one more zypper dup will be in order after that date/time, then you can switch to zypper up. Personally, I've never bothered with anything more than updating the distro until after the GA is out -- just too much work for my tastes. Mileage varies, I suppose. Somewhat off point here and FWIW: After your first message arrived, I did some poking around on opensuse.org, and found a page (can't recall where, and not about to go looking for it again) that says SLE15 will be in support until 2028. If true, that means at least 4 more openSUSE minor releases before we see oS16.0 sometime around mid-2028.
