Dear Mr.Muftuoglu,
first, thank you very much for your help. I've modified it after you told me but it still doesn't work.
I got this error message on outlook express e-mailer : " The host 'mail.arcor.de' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'pop3.arcor.de', Server: 'mail.arcor.de', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D
The host 'pop3.arcor.de' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'pop3.arcor.de', Server: 'pop3.arcor.de', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D "
Is there another possibility ? Please tell me....
Thank you very much in advance.

Would you give me a solution please......!!!! I am stucked now after trying so many times for the solution.
Have you edited /etc/sysconfig/mail as it is "local" by default # # Set this to "yes" if mails from remote should be accepted # this is necessary for any mail server. # If set to "no" or empty the only mails from localhost # are accepted. # SMTPD_LISTEN_REMOTE="yes

I do not know about much squid, but for trouble shooting purposes I would by pass the proxy server just to see if it will work. Or make sure the proxy server is not prohibiting you from the email. Just a quess!! -- Bob Barish BMT Solutions IT Manager
