Words from a wise old mechanic, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" I have a smooth running 5.2 box with a 2.0.35 kernel and when I looked at the new 5.3 outline of new changes, I just asked myself, Why?
Well for me it's important to have up to date system libraries and a homonogous and current system. The graphics libraries etc have been updated, for instance. And some new programs have been added. To me having this stuff up-to-date and on CD in distribution form is worth the price of admission. It also saves me trouble of dl'ing sources and building rpms from them. I'm looking forward to 5.3. I'm not worried about a few issues. I'd think most people here have been using Linux for a while and know full well, sometimes you have to deal with a tweak or adjustment now and then. That's nothing new to maintainance. -M One is most dishonest towards one's God; he is not _permitted_ to sin. mail: mjohnson@pop3.aebc.com - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
