Hi everybody, I hope this question does not sound too stupid. I have several Suse Linux servers, and each time that I want to upgrade, I have to run around with a pack of cd's. I would like to copy the CD's to one machine, and install all the others from there. I'm am sure this is possible, but since I'm a newbie in this area I don't even know where to start looking.
If you are willing to try, try doing a cp -pruv .* *.* * target-directory-on-networked-PC For each of the disks. This should dump your CDs contents on to a directory. Do this in order 5,4,3,2 and then disk-1 in the end [my superstition]. Then let an http/ftp server serve these pages. Try this. I have been told that this is all that is there to it.
