If you are running kde2, use control center>power control>energy and uncheck
"enable display energy saving".

Otherwise, if you are running X4.x.x, check /etc/X11/XFConfig, in Section
"Monitor" for Option "dpms" 

AND Section "ServerLayout" for 

Option	"BlankTime"
Option	"StandbyTime"
and Option	"OffTime".
