there is a telnet daemon you can get for win9x that will give you a dos windows and you can reboot from it. look on www.winfiles.com for it. i have used it before and it is limited but will at least do what you need it to do. On Mon, 5 Nov 2001, Jaakko Tamminen wrote:

Sorry to be OT here, but it is kind of emergency.
In a remote LAN, there is Linux-box / firewall, that I have full control over.
Then there is one Win-98 machine, that has "samba" shared printer / HD in that LAN.
This computer needs to be rebooted remotly. I had VNC running there, but now the user seems to have quit the VNC.
I'm able to reach other win-98 machines thru their VNC okay, and see the shares, also in that "reboot" machine...
Is there a way to make Win-98 boot thru this access that I have?
