It used to work, up until I when I don't know, maybe after some online updates a few months ago. Still works on OS/2 & windoz. Printer is LaserJet 4 on 192.168.0.4:9100.
KControl shows "State: idle (rejecting jobs)", and no jobs, while KJobViewer shows several jobs queued, all size 0, pages 0. If I try to remove a job from the queue, I get an error popup "Unable to perform action 'Remove' on selected jobs. Error received from manager: Execution of lprm failed:"
Try accept <printer name>
man accept
That man page doesn't offer a definition of "destination". I tried 'accept normal' ("normal" is the title given "default printer" when I open the Utilities->Printing->Manage Printing KDE menu item that shows "Printers - CUPS 1.2.7" in its titlebar when opened), but still all I see is additions to the queue, and nothing ever reaches the printer, including "print test page" from that same utility. :-(
Which is why I gave you a clue with "<printer name>". The opposite of accept is reject which is the error you are getting. What is the name of the printer queue? That is the "destination" required with accept.
In YaST2 printer configuration, there is only one printer: Queue Name: normal Device: /192.168.0.4:9100 Model: LaserJet 4M Default Queue: Default As indicated earlier, "accept normal" doesn't help. "accept Default" gives "accept: Operation failed: client-error-not-found". Is there some other printer queue name to be found somehow? -- "Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain." Psalm 127:1 NIV Team OS/2 ** Reg.
