I cannot get any video in GQCam, Kopete, Ekiga, but the camera is recognised as UVC Camera (046d:09a1)
I have the following driver installed
quickcam-kmp-default 0.6.6_2.6.27.19_3.2-9.1.6
My kernel is 2.6.27.21-0.1-default
Has anybody on the list got this camera working with opensuse 11.1 & KDE 4.2.2?
I have a Quickcam Pro 9000, kernel 2.6.27.21-0.1-pae and quickcam-kmp-pae-0.6.6_2.6.27.19_3.2-9.1.6 It works. I try with skype and luvcview no problem.
Don't have S5500 around, sorry cannot help with that one.
If it recognized as UVC camera, try check with luvcview first.

Thanks, that's reassuring, but there's something not right in this machine...
~> luvcview luvcview 0.2.4
SDL information: Video driver: x11 A window manager is available Device information: Device path: /dev/video0 Stream settings: Frame format: MJPG Unable to set format: Device or resource busy Init v4L2 failed !! exit fatal
I don't think I've got anything else running which would be using v4l2 :( or is the problem with the frame format?
Strangely, luvcview works when I log into KDE3 on the same machine. Ekiga and GQCam don't.
I have a Logitech Quick Chat cam which is working with kopete and motion, but is it not working with luvcview, gqcam, skype. Strange, I know :) for luvcview I have the same error.
