Suse -Sparc-7.3 and yast2 problem

      I installed the Suse 7.3 for Sparc distro on an old ultra5. I am trying 
to do an online update with yast2.

I accept the package selection that is given but somewhere during the 
process the machine locks up.

Is there a known problem with yast2 online updates for the sparc platform?
