Hi,
I was happily creating some directories and deleting others in mc, when suddenly the system wen bonkers. mc froze. I saw in the log that disk access was lost, so I halted, powered off and on, and booted. The first thing in the log is this:
<10.6> 2019-10-11 20:40:01 Telcontar CRON 1584 - - pam_unix(crond:session): session closed for user cer <3.6> 2019-10-11 20:42:00 Telcontar dbus-daemon 4227 - - [session uid=1000 pid=4227] Activating service name='org.freedesktop.thumbnails.Cache1' requested by ':1.10' (uid=1000 pid=4307 comm="Thunar --sm-client-id 25b4ecb72-97b6-45d0-9e54-588") <1.6> 2019-10-11 20:42:00 Telcontar org.freedesktop.thumbnails.Cache1 4227 - - Registered thumbailer evince-thumbnailer -s %s %u %o
What on earth is a 'thumbailer'? [snip] Then there seemed to be a hardware error on ata10 Then XFS had problems reading sdc The rest was TL;DR but presumably you didn't find a hardware problem. I didn't notice any xfs_repair -n output? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
