I just installed a card earlier...the 7000-2. I got an error during boot saying cannot mount vfs as root.
All I did was to hook up the drives to the card and go. I have 2 drives, one I've used for about 1 week and the other I just got today.
Did you have to do array work with the card? I just want to mirror my older drive but can't figure out how to do it.
I started out with 2 new drives an did have to run the array stuff from the 3ware card . I'm not sure you can have an existing drive an put a new one in an have it mirror it, have no experience with that at all. I just put the 2 drives in an ran the array setup from the 3ware bios setup on the card an add both drives to the array an told it to use raid 1 for mirror if i remember right. then put suse dvd into dvd drive an off went the install. then had to put boot device as scsi device in computer bios before it would boot off of the 3ware card. jack
