Creating E-Mail Digests from Threads.

I am still using KMail at this time (KDE 2.2.1/2 and SuSE 7.3 Pro) and was wondering if there is a way I can create digests from threads that I have saved from the list correspondence on particular issues, so that I can create my own archive. The idea would be that the archive could be read in basically any e-mail client (or maybe also any word processor) for more or less any platform. The idea being that it could be used according to topic for reference purposes Cheers, Brian
